Freedom Joel Dobbins
Joel's debut album "Freedom" was mostly written and recorded during "Black Summer", hence the inspiration of the album cover, with the mixing and mastering process being finalised while under COVID-19 lockdown. Joel had developed a fascination for producing, now that he had upgraded to Logic Pro which provided lots of extra tools that GarageBand was lacking. Mandolin is featured for the first time too, as well as a renaissance of Joel on keyboard for the first time since Gravier. Overall, the sound is a lot more raw and experimental compared to his debut EP release "Forever Girl". There is, however, a continuation of the use of sound effects in the last ending of the "Forever Girl" EP, which inspired and continued the album concept for "Freedom".
