Back Story:

"After the initial pain of breaking up with my first girlfriend had started to dissipate, I started to feel optimistic in love again. I recall it was one of those almost seemingly sleepless nights when you just can't sleep as you have so much energy and are coming up with so many great ideas and after being so productive in writing and composing songs earlier that day. It was my challenge to write the best and most complete lyrics I had ever written and verse after verse I just kept writing, hoping that soon I'd start to feel tired but I didn't until after this song had been finished writing. Following on from "Shooting Star", I loved the metaphor of a girl being your shooting star so I found another metaphor evoking the same feeling which was an angel. Although somewhat simplistic, the lyrics and song in general is I think still holds up as a good quality song."
